Independent Students

Independent students are Qualifying students who register for individual courses, normally on a part-time basis. Independent students may be interested in taking courses for job-related purposes, to narrow the gap in their studies, to experiment in different subject areas, or to "test the waters" prior to applying to an undergraduate program.

Newly-admitted Independent students are strongly encouraged to contact the Student Transition Centre in order to obtain advising prior to commencing their studies.
