Students who have been referred to our site for the Learning Skills Inventory must apply for a user name and password in order to take this online assessment. (Independent students taking ONLY CC Business Certificate Courses offeres by the School of Extended Learning OR students with a University degree are exempt from this assessment. This assessment has been designed to help students and the University to evaluate what kind of support and conditions need to be in place for a student to be successful in pursuing their academic goals. It will provide a basis for improving all student’s learning and study strategies and can be used as a diagnostic measure to help identify areas in which students could benefit most from educational support. This inventory is in the form of multiple choice answers to questions on a set of crucial study and learning skills. It will take approximately 20 minutes and you will be sent the results with a guide on how to interpret your scores.

Note: Please include your student ID# in your request. Once we receive your e-mail, we will reply with your username and password and the url to the learning inventory site. We recommend that you complete this inventory as soon as possible after being directed to the web site.

Students who are interested in returning to Concordia after their dismissal may request an exit interview with the Student Transition Centre by writing to learning@alcor.concordia.ca. The purpose of this interview is to explore the reasons for their failure and what options that might be available to them in preparation for their return to University in three years. Students who request this exit interview must first fill out a survey, after which, the Student Transition Centre will contact the student to schedule an interview.
